Launching for Scyrah

A close friend and myself decided months ago to start playing Warhammer under my recommendation. We are a part of a close niche group of guy friends who have gamed together for years spanning across multiple systems, with the occasional round of World of Darkness spinning up. He was instantly into the idea and for weeks we talked about the game and the wonderful world of miniatures from a hobbyist stand point.

Weeks later we decided to head down to the local shop intending on buying the starter box of warhammer when we were approached by a very nice young gentlemen. He talked to us at length about Warmachine and all the benefits of the game versus the former discussed here. It had seemed as though we had stumbled upon a small community of gamers all playing this game. Soon, others joined in the conversation and before we knew it 2 hours went by as they took us through an intro game.

We ended up buying warmachine that day instead and I started with a Khador battle box, while my counterpart and soon to be weekly adversary picked a hordes group Legion of Everblight.

Weeks went by and after a few games with Khador's battle box and a few of its warcasters I decided to jump ship and build a Retribution of Scyrah army.

This blog will describe my adventures with Scyrah, providing tips hopefully to others in the sense they learn from my tactical blunderings, as well as some painting techniques along the way.
